There may be variation in saturation and tone between different fiber bases.

Yarns are produced in small lots, and even within the same lot there will be some variation between skeins in color, saturation, and tonality. To blend multiple skeins within the same project: (1) always order the full amount needed in a single order and (2) alternate skeins while working. 

 

Commercial dyes are used and all yarn has been pre-washed to prevent colors from bleeding. However, some colors–especially more saturated or deep reds, blues, and turquoise–may still release dye when soaked. It is recommended to wash all hand-dyed yarns–even superwash yarns–gently by hand and lay them flat to dry. When using highly contrasting colors within the same project, steam blocking is recommended to minimize possible color transfer.

 

Every effort is taken to faithfully represent the true colors in the finished product, including the use of photographic studio lighting and color cards, but viewing conditions and computer monitors (or smartphone screens) will vary.
